Welcome to our National History Day Information Center

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Incorporated is proud to be a sponsor of National History Day in conjunction with the Ancient Order of Hibernians and will be providing awards to students who prepare an entry on an Irish theme which coincides with the overall theme established by National History Day.

There are two prizes, each $500

The competition includes four categories in which projects may be entered, namely: Exhibits, Performances, Papers, and Documentaries. The requirements for each category are defined on the National History Day site at National History Day.

The National History Day theme for the year is:

Conflict and Compromise in History

If you have local accounts of Irish people (heroes, settlers, or leaders) in your area which you think would demonstrate the positive contributions of the Irish to your area or this nation, we encourage you to develop projects on that theme, since we also learn from you
